Can Selling Ebooks Make You Money?

I am working on finding out more about how all these people generate income by network marketing.
In my spare time as I begin thinking about retirement, I think that with the hundreds of millions of people buying think on the internet, ebooks could be an answer to generating income.
What I have found is there are thousands of people who are willing to sell you another eBook in PDF format to tell you how to do it. I am not impressed with most of what I have been finding. It can get costly with twenty dollars here and fifteen dollars there. It all adds up.
I have come to the conclusion that if I can find a good source of quality ebooks that I can sell that someone has already written, that is the ticket.
Now for the search for ebooks with some content rather than another how to make millions online eBooks. I want something that people will need and read who are not looking to create a business. I have found one interesting source that has been sitting on my hard drive for months. It is one of those ebooks I have downloaded in the past. I have so much on my computer that I could spend a month going through, I hope this makes someone else's task easier.
This seems to be a legitimate source of quality well written ebooks available to be downloaded and sold.
